I’m living proof of what self-acceptance is possible. As an overcomer of eating disorders who then went to culinary school...
I now cherish food as a sacred time and turn to yoga for balance PLUS exercise.
At my yoga studio, women would come in for 1 hour and go back to “normal life” feeling stressed. That short vinyasa was their only self-care. It broke my heart to hear:
Food felt like a restrictive burden
At home, they had no time for their health, meditation or beauty routines
Cooking didn’t feel joyful anymore
Every moment, from the first coffee to washing off makeup, felt rushed
We CAN be the generation who STOPS women not prioritizing themselves.
We can show our sons and daughters to love themselves whether they’re 4, 15 or 43.
You may love the idea of slowing down but with the laundry list of items or confusion on where to start, feel overwhelmed.
